How much is it going to cost me to send SMS messages from this system?

For a standard user it's free to send SMS, logos and ringtones as long as you have the credits in your account.
 
How can you afford to run this service - there must be a catch?

No catch, we simply finance the cost of sending the messages (around 5p each) by placing advertising on the SMS system pages.
 
Which phones are supported?

Almost all mobile handsets now support SMS text messages but any logo or ringtone is compatible with Nokia handsets only. The system will support other manufacturers' handsets over the coming months as systems are developed.
 
On "My Account" why does it tell me I've got no credits left?

You have used up all your credits for that day - see the next question for how to earn more credits.
 
How can I earn more FREE SMS credits?

There are a number of different ways to get more FREE SMS credits.


Click the "Big 55" link at the bottom of the page and earn 55 free credits.


Come back tomorrow and automatically gain 10 free sms credits.


Tell your friends to sign up but they must use your email address as the "recommender" on the registration page for you to receive 10 free credits.
   
Why am I having problems registering for the system?

Make sure that you have filled out all the fields in the registration process and click Submit if you still encounter problems contact our support department Click Here
 
Where can I go to find out how to send Logos?

Go to the logo section and select the logo you require. Click 'send' and then enter in all the recipients details. Verfiy the logo and its destination and click a link. This will send your logo and you logo credit will be deducted from your account.
 
I'm having problems logging in to use the SMS system, what can I do?

Double check the following:-


Try re-entering your nickname and password on the login page, taking care, as the password is case sensitive.


Make sure you click the Submit button


Ensure that your web browser has cookies enabled.

Why didn't my message arrive?

Next time you send a message, double check the following:


Make sure that you have enough credits in your account.


Ensure you enter the recipient telephone number in the standard mobile format without including the world code prefix.


Make sure you click Submit on the message page.


Verify message when system asks for confirmation.
   
I've sent a logo to a mobile but it wouldn't save, what's wrong?

This problem will occur if you have selected the incorrect network operator when sending a logo. Should you choose "To Save" the logo, but it does not replace your original operator logo, this could be due to phone suppliers having their own embedded software in the phone, which could mean that you cannot customise it.
 
Who is FoneTastic Network and what do they do?

FoneTastic Network specialise in providing unique FREE SMS messaging systems for compatible mobile phones and its "network partners". Click the graphic at the bottom of the page to find out more.
 
What can I do if my mobile operator is not supported by Fonetastic?

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, some countries and operators, e.g. Optus in Australia and some in the Philippines and Malaysia, do not support this type of system. If your mobile operator is not supported by our system, and your network is not listed on the Drop Down menu for logos or on the registration page, unfortunately this is out of our control, and we cannot support you.
 
I have received an abusive SMS from a FoneTastic user

Please visit www.fonetastic.com/global/support/ and send your concerns to the support team with all the information you have on the user. We have a Code of Practice whereby we follow guidelines laid down by the Data Protection Act 1967and we will act upon any inappropriate malicious or derogatory messages sent by any user of Fonetastic.com. Under the Data Protection Act we are also obliged to offer any information that the police may request.

The DIY logo page doesn’t load up properly.

This error means that your browser is not Java compatible or that there’s a problem with the Java package attached to your browser.
 
I've spent a lot of time designing a DIY logo and when I come to send the logo it asks me to login again and then I loose my design.

This problem refers to a error called a 'session timeout'. We suggest that while you’re designing your logo that you keep another window open and access the site though that window every few minutes: this will keep the session active and stop it from timing out.

How do I remove the logo that I sent?

If you send a logo to your handset choosing an incorrect network, it overwrites the logo with the original.
 
How do I earn extra credits using the chat room?

On the chatroom for each minute that your in there, you get chat credits, these can be converted to service credits on the parent page of the chat window.
 
How can i change my password?

How do i change my mobile number?

Please send your previous mobile details and email address and your new mobile details to our support team, who will then update your account with your new mobile details and will notify you as to when this has been completed. Your previous information is required for security purposes.
